Continuing on from Childbirth, we have another Seattle band, Pony Time, whose Stacy Peck is in Childbirth. It seems that Peck's penchant for pounding percussion, crunching riffs and ridiculous jokes covers the gamut of her music - Pony Time's upcoming album is called Rumours 2: The Rumours Are True. She is joined here by Luke Beetham, and the duo have a strong, direct approach, not mucking about with time signatures and weird syncopations, instead offering power pop with equal amounts of nonchalance and fuzzed-out confidence. This is their fourth album, so there is no excuse to get on the wagon here. You can pre-order Rumours 2 here.
