For some bizarre, unknown reason, Ive had posts Ive wanted to do about a brace of bands that include the word LEATHER in their title yet havent. Its a strange phenomenon, which is why Im opting to make the first posted about Haunted Leather and their album Desert Spells. The seven tracks on offer are thick on the roiling stoner riffage, billowing aural smoke across a desolate soundscape that is perpetually at dusk. The trio outta Grand Rapids embodies heavy desert psych music - the album title and cover art act as unsubtle signifiers - and will not hesitate to melt your face clean off.
