Sweet Bulbs a' blooming
Sometimes Brooklyn comes up trumps and Sweet Bulbs is one such moment. The noise driven indie-pop quintet started to make some waves in blogland at the end of June with their track Springstung but then new track Kissing Clouds dropped and people started making real noise. Another band that sounds like they've nicked My Bloody Valentine's kit, hid in Thurston Moore's basement and got bored hanging out with Best Coast. It might sound familiar, but sounds bloody good. Apparently Sweet Bulbs' LP Cybergaze is in the bag and awaiting someone to put it out- but not before a self-titled 12" appears on Blackburn Recordings.
