Lost In The Pyramid Of Blood

I spoke about young punks Panda Kid last week. The only connection between them and La Piramide Di Sangue (translation - The Pyramid of Blood) is their country of origin – Italy. These seven guys come from Torino, and their Tebe LP features a sweeping, hazardous melange of psych rock explorations built on the bedrock of two guitars, two bass, one clarinet (!), drums/percussion, synth/effects. The songs hold enough singularity to stand alone, but weave together nicely to enmesh the listener in a restless tapestry of African-via-German industrial rhythms. After Invisible Things yesterday I didn’t think I would have much more capacity for more feverish psych rock, but I was so wrong.

Tebe came out a couple months ago through great German label Sound Of Cobra (along with Boring Machines) – therefore the red vinyl 12” is smokin. You can snatch it up here.
