I posted back in March about Pontiak, the Virginian trio otherwise known as the Carney brothers. The bearded ones' weapon of choice is sludgy blues-inflected stoner noise, and their effort when alongside Thrill Jockey stablemates White Hills was something to be reckoned with. They are also quite prolific, having produced five albums in two years. Their latest, Living, is a true 'album' album, to be listened from start to finish, rinse and repeat. Here's the first cut.
