Resurrecting The Rayon Moon
Melbourne punks Rayon Moon are allergic to fidelity, pretension, and sense and sensibility (probably Jane Austen too, but I don't want to cast aspersions here...). The four-track Resurrection EP is loose, raw, raucous and ridiculous - like listening to a tremolo-addicted Television lose their minds over the B-52s. There is a infectiousness inherent in these tracks that lend a hallucinatory element to the fringes - this isn't generic garage scuzz, this is an acid-flecked spit in the eye - now with luaus, coconuts and alcohol poisoning.
