Thrushes are an indie shoegaze outfit out of Baltimore. They claim Phil Spector as their sonic god, they adhere to make rock music more beautiful. Their sonic dreamscapes are built up over skeletal song structures, augmented by reverb and an insistent bass, and enveloped by simple yet evocative vocals. They are on Birdnote Records, and admire bands of their ilk and influence - The Jesus and Mary Chain, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, and the Raveonettes just to name a few. Their second LP, Night Falls, is out very soon. Here is the title track. Expect them to be touring our way in the near future!
