Seluah are a bunch of Louisville, Kentucky psych rockers who embrace the languid groove rather than the overdriven crunch, a more rustic approach to the genre that is apparent on their LP
Red Parole (except for the excellent one-two punch of 'Black Sand' and 'Hell And Back', that are so heavily indebted to Black Mountain that it may as well be McBean et al at the controls!). Yet they stamp and slide all over the genre tropes to create something quite different. It's great stuff.
Seluah have actually been around for a while, went dormant, and now
Red Parole stands as their first album in 10 years - so maybe Black Mountain is indebted to them, hmm? Grab
Red Parole here and make up your own mind.
